Bloodline: Half-Blood, though both of her parents are wizards, her mother is Muggle born. On the paternal side of her family is Sam’s grandmother, Sophia Spencer, a kind-hearted old woman who’s bloodline is as pure as gold, at least in her own mind. In actuality, the Spencer bloodline was only pure for about one hundred and fifty years, before Sophia married a Muggle born wizard by the name of Patrick Fawcett, who unfortunately was a casualty in the first war. The two had a son, Douglas who later followed his mother’s example and married a Muggle born witch by the name of Natalie Conan. Out of her large, Catholic family Natalie was the only witch. As a result, Sam has a large extended Muggle family.

Political View: Believing in something isn’t the same as agreeing with something. There's a lot happening in the Ministry that Sam disagrees with, and Rudiger Shingleton is not currently one of her favorite people, but Sam was raised to believe in the sanctity of the Government and it’s ability to deliver justice.

Sam has been working in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement since June of 2000 and the longer she’s at the Ministry the more discontent she becomes. Her job is to acquire information that will help catch criminals, but the more immersed she becomes in politics the more corruption she begins to find within the Ministry its self.

Being employed by the Government requires an impartial political view, at least when in public. However, Sam is silently among those calling for Shingleton’s resignation. In her opinion, he is nearly as bad as Scrimegeour.

Sam is afraid that a revolt is just around the corner, that on day the former Death Eaters are going to snap and do something drastic. The Minister stresses the Registry but he has made no plans for rehabilitation. Shingleton doesn’t care that innocent lives are being ruined because of false accusations, and he doesn’t seem to mind that dangerous men are buying their way out of Azkaban.

Build: Sam is thin, and in her opinion too skinny. Unlike her grandmother who is short and womanly, Sam takes after her mother. Tall with small breasts, nearly nonexistent hips, and long legs. Despite her best efforts to gain weight, her fast metabolism coupled with her Auror training made that task impossible.
Dress Style: She isn’t very picky about what she wears, at work it’s the customary work robes and when she’s at home she dresses for comfort, not style. The only time she puts effort into her outfit is when she’s meeting an undercover operative in a public location. Even then, she has people helping her blend in to her surroundings. Because of her Muggle heritage, you can normally find Sam in jeans and, depending on the weather, a sweater, tank top, or t-shirt. She prefers to wear muted colors, because in her opinion her skin and hair stand out enough, she doesn’t need to assault people with bright colors too.

Basic Physical Description: Sam is tall for a woman, and a bit on the skinny side. She has a pretty, innocent face with large blue/green eyes and golden blonde hair.

Defining Marks: Sam’s pale skin, bright blonde hair, and overly large green eyes are major distinguishing qualities. Aside from that, she has a large scar on her right shoulder, a souvenir from a dog attack when she was a child.

Personality

Sam is a pleasant person, with a logical and intelligent mind. She is hardworking and clever, and tends to put work before everything else in her life. She is friendly, but gets uncomfortable with intimate physical contact. She strongly believes that intimacy comes with trust and her trust is precious, must be earned.

Sam is rather impatient when it comes to those around her. She wants everyone to be on the same page and she doesn’t like having to spell things out to people. Sluggishness is one thing that constantly aggravates her, and when she’s annoyed, she’s not shy about showing it.

Annoying her can lead to petty bickering and when she bickers a bit of Ravenclaw snootiness breaks through her usually friendly disposition. It’s not that she thinks she’s better than others are, but sometimes she uses knowledge to belittle people, more often than not feeling guilty about it later.

Strengths: She is a clear thinker under pressure and able to adapt well in stressful situations. She is good at sizing people up and guessing at their character. She excels in charms and genuinely wants to help people.

Weaknesses: Her family is her number one weakness. She would do anything for the people she loves, including putting herself in danger. She is guarded around people she doesn’t know very well, and because of that she has a hard time forming close relationships.

Habits/Quirks: Sam’s nervous habits include picking at her cuticles, gnawing on her bottom lip, and cleaning. In addition, it is well known that she is a coffee addict and has trouble functioning without it.

Psychology

Extrovert/Introvert:Sam is an introverted person. She likes to be alone and spends most of her free time reading or thinking. She doesn’t have many friends, but because of her line of work, she knows a lot of people. She is generally calm and collected and it takes a lot to make her lose control of her temper.

When she was a child, Sam had trouble being around large groups of people. She would cry and beg her parents to take her home. Over time, she grew more comfortable around loud noises and large groups of people, but she still feels most comfortable at home, alone.

She is very territorial and doesn’t like when people touch her things. Neat and organized describe her perfectly, everything has its proper place, and she gets uncomfortable when things are moved.

Sam is rather oblivious when it comes to being hit on, she doesn’t know how flirt, and more importantly she doesn’t know when someone is flirting with her. Book smarts don’t always mean street smarts.
Boggart Would Be: Sam’s Boggart would be a large, angry dog, growling and foaming at the mouth. When she was seven she was attacked by a wild dog while playing outside. She still has the scar; to this day, she is terrified of dogs of any kind.
Patronus Would Be: The Patronus charm is one of the first lessons when accepted into the Auror Academy. It took her the better part of three months to master the charm, but when she did her patronus took the form of an Aethonon. An Aethonon is a winged horse that dwells mainly in England. Sam has a affinity for horses, as they share similar personality traits. Both are rather friendly until threatened, once threatened they are fierce fighters.

Sexuality

Sam is straight, but doesn’t have much experience with boys. In school, she was too focused on her studies to give a boy the time of day, much less go on a date. She had a brief relationship with a Muggle boy named Marcus the summer after her fifth year, but it ended right before she went back to school when Marcus pressured her into having sex. Afterward she realized that she wasn’t emotionally ready for sex and broke up with him. Then the war happened, upon graduation she went straight into Auror training, where once again she became to wrapped up in her studies to even think about a romantic relationship.

Lifestyle

Occupation: Works for the Magical Law Enforcement Division at the Ministry of Magic. She is a fully trained Auror, but works as a liaison to undercover operatives. Her job mainly consists of gathering information, which she then passes on to her contact. However, occasionally she will be given an assignment that requires her to do the fieldwork.
Residence: Sam lives with her cat Dagda in a small, one bedroom apartment in muggle London. It is small and cozy, decorated in warm colors, and comfortable furniture.
Financial Status: Comfortable. She is by no means wealthy but her job at the ministry pays her well enough and her family helps from time to time. Before her graduation from the Auror Academy, she worked part time as a waitress at the Leaky Cauldron and lived with her parents.

Family

Parents: Natalie and Douglas Fawcett. Natalie is an Irish muggle born witch with a large family still living in Tralee on the southwestern coast of Ireland. Natalie has three sisters Mary, Sarah, and Fiona, as well as two brothers, Kevin and Liam. Douglas was the only son of the muggle born wizard Patrick Fawcett (an only child) and “pureblooded” Sophia Spencer. Both are still living in Ottery St. Catchpole

Sam’s family has always gotten along well, even the muggle half of her family. Her muggle relations are very proud of their wizarding family and adore Sam to no end. She never got a chance to meet her paternal grandfather however, Patrick Fawcett was unfortunately a casualty in the first war against Voldemort.

History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time

Sam’s childhood was filled with laughter and love. There was never a dull moment despite the fact that she was an only child. She grew up in Ottery St. Catchpole where she lived comfortably in a two-story four-bedroom house near the center of town. When she was seven she was playing in the yard when a stray dog attacked her. The Medi Wizards believe that it was some magical breed because nothing they tried could get rid of the scar from the bite.

When she arrived at Hogwarts Sam had trouble making friends. Her eleven-year-old self was painfully shy, a social paralysis she later learned to repress if not conquer. She was a good student, rarely got into trouble, and content to be overlooked by here peers. Sam studied hard and maintained top grades in all her classes, aside from Care of Magical Creatures, which she dropped in favore of Arithmicy her fifth year.

Sixth year for Sam was difficult. Her first serious relationship had ended badly just before school had started. He was a muggle and knew nothing about the Wizarding world. The two had been friends since childhood and had dated for three months when he pressured Sam into having sex with him. She realized after the fact that she wasn’t ready for sex and broke up with him.

She became moody and impatient, easily frustrated with her housemates, and even got into a couple snits with other students in the hallways. Sixth year Sam developed her dislike for hugging, or any other form of affection. The death of Head Master Dumbledore at the hands of Snape furthered her wariness and strengthened her resolve to join the Ministry.

Sam became determined to become an Auror. In her mind, Harry Potter had very little hope of defeating he-who-must-not-be-named as well as the Death Eaters on his own. The Order of the Phoenix was tinny group of civilians, what could they do against legions of Dark Wizards?

Three days after her graduation Sam started Auror Training. She lived at home during the three-year training program and worked at the Leakey Cauldron when she wasn’t sleeping or at the Ministry.

In June of 2000, Sam finished her training and was given a position as a Liaison to the Ministry. Her job was to pass information between the Ministry and it’s undercover operatives, do research, and other tasks that were considered too small for the more important Aurors to perform. The war was over and she had been spared from the most gruesome part. Which isn’t to say she was spared from the fight, but the Ministry had kept the trainees at the smaller battles, not wishing to waste their most experienced and deadly members on insignificant battles. She was lucky, she had never killed anyone.

Unfortunately, completing her training has not started her on her path to justice as she had hoped. As the months pass, Sam has been growing increasingly more frustrated with the Ministry and it’s policy. It sickens her, the blatant obstruction of justice, and the corruption that is running through the Ministry. In her opinion, change is needed drastically and it’s needed now.
